// 100 RULES OF FLOW // 01. Flow is the superintelligent energy from the singularity that gets more advanced as it moves through things, accelerated by self-organisation baked into the rules of energy 02. Once the non-material energy of flow becomes material, it is no longer flow. This is why it’s so difficult to talk about and should only be lived 03. Flow is referred to as kundalini by the ancient Hindus, and Quality in the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance 04. Kundalini energy can break with the inwards energy of obsessive thoughts / words, causing unbearable pain when meditating 05. The agonising pain meditating is 13 billion years of unfurled energy crunching into itself, like a dying star 06. Flow is the biological basis for genius, providing the subtlety to take more energy from the world, allowing greater understanding 07. Flow first travelled through inanimate objects, such as stars and asteroids, before finally reaching its pinnacle in humans 08. Flow became more beautiful as the energy of the objects it travelled through became less of a slave to cause and effect / more able to delay entropy 09. Flow comprises subtlety and momentum and gets subtler through receiving energy and more powerful by following it 10. Flow encompasses infinite creativity, the subtlety to take in other people’s energy and master the gradient between the conscious and subconscious 11. Flow is passed most effectively through children, as their core is shaped in the formative years by the flow around them 12. Flow is a fragile and powerful feeling in the body that can feel its own destiny, its infinite potential 13. Flow is the same thing as the wellspring of creativity, the beautiful colours / nimitta that advanced meditators can see, the creative power for exponential children 14. Flow chooses people that have chosen it and slowly purifies your mind, perfecting your body and external circumstances 15. People who can see colours and hallucinations when relaxed are in touch with their inner child. These colours are our energetic core 16. People with flow can feel the future, not because the future has already happened, but because they are entirely in sync with the present 17. The root cause of suffering is the conflict between entropy in a host seeking simpler states and flow seeking complexity as it moves through them. Artists try to align with this complexity; Buddhists seek annihilation 18. Religion is a culturally refracted misunderstanding of the sheer complexity of emergence. A good book about emergence is The Biologist’s Mistress 19. What some meditators feel / see as past lives is being subtle enough so you can feel your flow move up your family tree, backwards through birth to the energy that shaped it 20. In a similar process, dreams are flow converting sensations in the body into images once the conscious mind gets out of the way 21. There is no afterlife or reincarnation; flow just moves into a less advanced form when you die 22. Prayer cannot contravene flow, or the laws of physics as it’s known in the material world 23. True bliss comes from containing all the wavelengths of energy from art to nature 24. To have a pure heart, you need to have not manipulated, caused harm or been selfish from birth 25. Conversation between flowers is wellspring to wellspring, a largely unconscious process 26. Sexual energy / the libido is the driving force of the universe; health and happiness come from being aligned with it 27. All disease has emotional mismanagement at its core 28. With flow, empathy is instinctive, and memories and music are felt in the body 29. People with flow will be “big” and eventually become artists or entrepreneurs, shaping the world around them 30. If you make friends easily and are good at things that require being at one with the body like sex, sports, driving and dancing, it’s likely you’re flowing 31. If you feel passionate love and have a high sex drive, kundalini energy is likely moving through your body 32. If your body moves beautifully and feels almost weightless when you walk, a blissful, sexual energy running up and down your backbone, you’re free from transgenerational pain 33. If your body is awash with billions of almost psychic sensations containing infinite expression, it’s likely you have flow 34. If your body feels like a conduit to the energy that emits from people and objects, it’s likely you’re flowing 35. If you feel energy is powering your decisions, to the extent that your body becomes a vessel for the energy that’s powering the universe, you’re experiencing the bleeding edge of the present 36. Living life on the bleeding edge allows you to shape your energy instead of being its byproduct. That is the root source of creativity 37. Creatives tend to dream in beautiful colours and have wildly imaginative dreams, to the extent that they could be in a parallel universe 38. It is impossible to shape flow immediately, but you can shape it in gradations by converting infinite sensations into deep and original thought, as well as soaking in the energy from knowledge acquisition and art 39. This process of shaping and purifying the energy takes decades and slowly perfects your life once the energy starts building momentum 40. When flow exchanges between people, it shows through micro-movements in the eyes and body. With people with flow, they can feel someone’s wellspring / sexual energy through the eyes 41. Empaths are stars; psychopaths are black holes. The universe is an interplay of this energy 42. The meaning of life is for flow to understand itself through its host. That is close to impossible, so a secondary purpose is having children, as that allows its evolution to continue through your child 43. Consciousness gets more advanced as receptivity to flow increases 44. Poetry about flow – https://www.bobdylan.com/songs/all-along-watchtower/ 45. Narcissists are weak-minded byproducts of a manipulative environment; they feed on empaths – https://www.psychopathtest.com/ 46. Averting from the energy of a destructive parent can create the momentum to align yourself with flow, having to build your personality from scratch 47. Sentience / free will exists in gradations, in terms of an object’s flow, and its ability to shape the energy behind cause and effect 48. The level to which something can be predicted from its antecedent energy is its level of flow e.g. a creative human has more flow than an asteroid 49. The life energy you’ve been able to shape through a subject-object interaction is your level of flow. It’s a similar dance which flow has with the human body 50. The level of our flow is linked with happiness; a depleted flow is labelled as depression or psychopathy. There are infinite spaces between language; all theories are imperfect (although necessary) refractions of flow 51. The most profound creativity is being powered by the momentum of flow, the opposite of randomness 52. This expresses itself best through sex and music – sex which is instinctive is flow energising through the vessel of your body 53. The root of self-actualisation is flow becoming more beautiful through the vessel of the human body 54. Flow finds expression in the genes, the root source of epigenetics 55. The notion of the “selfish gene” doesn’t get to the root cause – over millions of years, humans with a higher flow will produce more children 56. The more unconscious your actions and words are, the more you’re in touch with flow. Creatives have built momentum from a baby, and it builds with complex multipliers 57. Your intelligence is essentially riding the anthropic energy of being born in the right physical form in the right environment at the right time. Being a man can be better for flow as the energy is magnified by a culture that associates it with “manliness” 58. Natural selection, language, higher consciousness, complex societies, cultural evolution, and the internet are examples of self-organisation that have accelerated the subtlety and momentum of how flow has moved through a host 59. Someone with a higher flow will be a better person, as they’ll be able to feel someone instinctively 60. With advanced levels of flow, you’ll feel part of nature – what makes you happy, makes someone else happy - people on the same flow will magnify each other 61. We’re not special; we’re just flawed bits of carbon that flow either builds or destroys itself through 62. That said, humans have the most potential to feel the flow of energy moving through them and understand the process it’s taken over billions of years 63. The only difference between inanimate and animate matter is its level of flow; there is no élan vital 64. Psilocybin helps open you up to flow, although filtered by the object’s existing level - hallucinations are just a reflection of the fact there is nothing static or objective in life 65. On the classical level, flow outputs as cause and effect as it’s linked with the unidirectionality of time; on the quantum level, time is symmetrical 66. Mainstream theories of quantum mechanics like the Copenhagen interpretation and (particularly) many-worlds are unnecessarily messy because they assume classical concepts 67. The reason the double-split experiment changes when it’s measured is that it’s interacted with something on the classical level, not because of human consciousness 68. Principles like a “language acquisition device” are just misunderstandings of how open flow is from a baby 69. Time isn’t static but changes on an object’s level of flow. Relativity is an equation based theory for something more complex 70. The notion of a fine-tuned universe is simplistic; a different form of consciousness could have happened even if physical constants were different 71. Both flow and prime numbers are independent of physical laws; they always exist where there is “something” as opposed to “nothing” 72. Flow and primes are connected; they’re best intuitively felt by an object with flow, rather than logically factorised 73. Numbers are the closest thing we have to understand flow in a way that standardises its infinite spaces 74. Love is the purest expression of flow and should always be followed 75. Babies have an open level of flow, which gives them an intuitive feeling of numbers, which is logarithmic rather than linear 76. Education can remove this intuition, as it prioritises technique rather than feel 77. We’re riding the flow of cultural evolution borne of language, and complex societies, rather than having personality traits hard-coded in the genes 78. There are no laws of physics like a book, just outputs of flow, and what imperfect vessels of flow (like humans) transcribe 79. The flow of an object will determine the views they have - in humans, those with a lower flow will favour overly genetic or religious explanations of human behaviour 80. If a person aligned themselves perfectly with flow, they could live as long as the universe expands 81. Vernon Chatman and Townes Van Zandt are two artists who have made themselves transparent enough to feel innate rhythms 82. Personality is an infinite amount of things (environment and physiognomy being the obvious ones) interacting every infinitesimal second, occupying the spaces between words 83. Anything that can be packaged in an easily digestible narrative will be imprecise (including this) 84. Art is a superior expression of flow as it doesn’t have the common denominator of profit to limit its expression 85. Sexuality is not hard-coded into the genes; it’s an emergent interaction of the body, “the core” and the environment 86. “The core” is the part of us that interprets the flow around us, whether to internalise existing energy or strive for higher free will by shaping that wellspring 87. “The core” is not fixed either; it’s trillions of things interacting every trillionth of a second. Advanced meditators can see / feel these colours 88. There are infinite spaces in life corresponding to the depth of the wellspring within someone 89. Someone with flow could live for a billion years and never be bored, as they can never effectively convert that wellspring: it keeps growing emergently 90. The most sublime happiness is flow, of being very much a part of life, working with the vital energy of 13 billion years of evolution, and its power to spread through all things infinitely into the future 91. Land, culture, and religion reinforce each other in complex ways and help shape the flow of the objects within it 92. Life is subjective; there’s no objective universe. That said, in billions of years, self-organisation will give objects the subtlety and momentum to contain more energy 93. Those with a lower flow don’t know the spaces they’re missing out on; they lack the clarity to make things cohesive and regress through the layers 94. Physics and philosophy are the best things to study for business - the key ingredient is clarity of causal mechanisms, and the ability to regress your mind to the subtlest parts 95. Following flow takes you to places like London or New York with a vital life energy 96. Arranged marriages are Auntie Flo, as they can allow depleted energy to pass on, and the traits to find a mate never develop 97. The flow of thousands of years of arranged marriages in India will be infinitely different to the flow of thousands of years in England - children of immigrants will either be very intuitive or the opposite 98. To feel the energy behind something - be that in people or art - you need the depth to contain it. The subtler the depth, the more magical the world is 99. We inherit our mental backbone from an authority figure 100. Flow creates the structure to reinforce itself; it outputs in synchronicity “Reality can be sharpened or blunted; reductionism blunts, subtlety sharpens. And subtlety can take internal forms like meditation or external forms like art. For example, a poet could write about something and get closer to the intangible ‘essence’ of something through words. Or an artist could paint someone, which though not realistic, might be closer to the person’s essence. You can always get closer, subtler, sharper - but the core of reality forever remains intangible and ungraspable.”
